Long Stock Coat German Shepherd Dogs

The SV amended the rules in 2011 and the ANKC subsequently added Long Stock Coats as an accepted variety of the breed on the 1st January 2012.

Long Stock Coat (LSC) German Shepherds can now be shown and bred and all breeders should register them on the appropriate register with their State Kennel Control. Inter-variety breeding between the two coat types is not permitted.

Dogs previously registered on the Stock Coat Register can be verified and moved to the correct register. The Club can assist members who need to have their LSC verified. This can be done at any Breed Survey.

For more information on LSC’s please check out the GSDCA website
