We hope that you enjoy your visit to our site. The GSDCQ (Inc.) is affiliated with and abides by the Constitution for Incorporated Clubs of Dogs Queensland. We are also affiliated with the German Shepherd Dog Council of Australia (Inc.)

The Club encourages members to become “Responsible Dog Owners “and to be pro-active in the promotion of Council Breed Improvement Schemes.

Meetings

General Meetings are held bi-monthly on the 4th Monday of the month at the Dogs Queensland show grounds, King Avenue, Durack, Queensland. Months are January, March, May, July, September and November. The Annual General Meeting is held the first Monday in December. The meetings commence at 7.00pm.

Shows

The club conducts two Championship shows in July and one Open Show in September each year. Every five years the Club hosts the National Show & Trial on behalf of the German Shepherd Dog Council of Australia. The annual State Breed Exhibition is also held in September each year.

Trials are held twice a year in conjunction with the Championship Shows & State Breed Exhibition.

Breed Surveys

The Club holds four Breed Surveys a year at Durack and also conducts them in regional areas on a ‘needs basis’. The object of the Survey is to promote and offer guidance for the uniform development of the German Shepherd Dog Breed. Zone Representatives

Queensland is split into Zones to give each regional area a voice in the breed. Andrew Drinkwater is the Club Rep for Zone 2 and Phillip Gillies is the Club Rep for Zone 3. If you require information on activities in these Zones please contact the Rep for assistance. View their contact details
