QUEENSLAND POLICE DOG ‘Tyson’

2007 Outstanding Canine Service Award

 

Police Dog ‘Tyson’ was presented the ‘GSDCA Canine Outstanding Service Award’ at the GSDC of Queensland 50th Anniversary Championship Show & Trial in July 2007 by Mr. Bruce Knight (GSDCA President).

Tyson and his handler have been very successful in the Mackay District for many years.

Tyson is one of the very few Queensland Police Dogs that has been seriously injured while on duty, being stabbed by a violent offender in 2002.

Thankfully, he suffered no permanent effects and was quickly back on duty.
