GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG ASSOCIATION OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA The German Shepherd Dog Association of Western Australia (Inc) was founded in the late 1950's. A short breed history and club background relevant to this State is included on this webpage underneath the following list of current club officials and contacts.
GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG CLUB OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA Our Club has a history of which we are justly proud. We commenced operation, under the guidance of our founder, the late Harold Camm, in 1949. From an early membership of twenty (20) people we have grown to be the largest single Breed Club in South Australian today. We are a strong and innovative organisation
and the longest established Club in South Australia
GERMAN
SHEPHERD DOG CLUB NORTHERN TERRITORY
The GSD Club of the Northern Territory was founded in
1970 by a group of members including Riley Wing, and Wolf Meffert. They
worked very hard for a number of years to have the NT Alsatian Act
repealed. This Act required every GSD to be desexed. Later the NT Government
gave the Club a concession. If a dog attended obedience training it could be
exempt from the compulsory desexing rule. The club held its first specialty
show in Darwin in 1977. Judge was Louis Donald who was assisted by steward
Jurgen Neddermeyer. The Club continues to hold an annual speciality show
every year.
GERMAN
SHEPHERD DOG CLUB NEWCASTLE & NORTHERN REGION
The Newcastle & Northern Region GSD club is situated in
the picturesque Hunter Valley and its members successfully participate at a
National level in all breed related activities. A strong obedience focus is
evident. The club consists of a committed team who actively support their
members in obedience, breeding and participating in National council
schemes.
Situated in Canberra the ACT Club is
represented by a solid group of enthusiastic breed lovers. The club is known
throughout Australia for hosting great Shows and Obedience Trials. ACT
have their own club house and work together promoting the Breed Improvement
Schemes
